Play-based
Play-based speech therapy is a child-centered approach that uses play as the primary method for building communication skills. Through engaging activities like pretend play, games, and hands-on exploration, children are encouraged to express themselves, learn new vocabulary, and practice speech sounds in a natural and enjoyable way. This approach aligns with how children naturally learn, making therapy fun and motivating while fostering confidence and social interaction skills. Play-based therapy creates a supportive environment where communication growth happens seamlessly through meaningful and interactive experiences.

Child Led
Child-led speech therapy focuses on following the child’s interests and cues to guide therapy sessions, making the experience engaging and meaningful. Instead of structured activities, the therapist adapts to what captures the child’s attention, using their natural curiosity to encourage communication and learning. This approach fosters a sense of autonomy, builds trust, and promotes intrinsic motivation, creating an ideal environment for developing speech and language skills at the child’s own pace.

Neurodiversity Affirming
Neurodiversity-affirming speech therapy celebrates and respects the unique ways individuals think, learn, and communicate. This approach focuses on empowering children to build communication skills that enhance their autonomy and self-expression while valuing their authentic selves. Rather than focusing on "fixing" differences, therapy emphasizes collaboration, honoring the child’s strengths, and creating supportive strategies that align with their needs and goals. Neurodiversity-affirming therapy fosters an inclusive environment where children feel understood, respected, and empowered to thrive, regardless of diagnosis.

Parent Inclusion
Parent coaching is a vital component of pediatric speech therapy, as parents play a central role in their child’s development. By equipping parents with practical strategies, techniques, and tools, coaching ensures that therapy extends beyond sessions and into everyday routines. This consistency accelerates progress and helps children generalize skills in natural settings. Parent coaching also fosters confidence, empowering families to actively support their child’s communication growth and build stronger connections through meaningful interactions. Each session provides one-on-one intervention, as well as time dedicated to parent coaching.
